Lung Cancer
Lung cancer, also known as lung carcinoma, is a malignant lung tumor characterized by uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung. This growth can spread beyond the lung by the process of metastasis into nearby tissue or other parts of the body.
Symtoms of Lung Cancer:-
Symptoms of non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer are basically the same.
Early symptoms may include:-
- Coughing up phlegm or blood
- chest pain
- shortness of breath
- weakness
- fatigue
- Weight Loss
- Loss of Appetite
Treatment:-
Different methods are used to treat lung cancer. which method most suitable depends of the type of lung cancer. Non-small cell or small cell—and the cancer’s stage.
Treatment for Non-small cell includes
- surgery
- chemotherapy
- radiation
- targeted therapy
- combination of the above therapies.
Treatment for Small cell includes
- Radiation
- Chemotherapy.
